You can see the new stands being built at Eden Park Stadium above. It's about 3.5 kilometres south-west from Aucklands CBD through heavy traffic.
The North Harbour Stadium is in the yellow line above, it is approximately 15 kilometres north-west, from the Auckland CBD. Take highway 1 north and go over the harbour bridge. When the traffic is light, it takes approximately 15 minutes to drive there. When there's a major event such as the Rugby Union World Cup, the traffic around the stadium will be congested. The bus service is probably the best way to get to major events, since there's separate bus lanes, to pass a lot of the traffic jams.
