Auckland rail transport.

Auckland has a rail network that runs from the central Britomart station out in three diferent directions.
One goes west ending at Helensville.
One goes through the eastern suburbs, then joins the southern route ending at Pukekohe.
The other goes south from Britomart through the southern suburbs to Pukekohe.
This system is mainly designed to cater to regular commuters, between the suburbs and city.
There is also a scenic rail route called the Overlander, from Auckland to Wellington through Hamilton, Waitomo, National Park and Palmerston North. Then you can get a ferry to Picton, where you can then get a train called the Transcoastal through Blenheim and Kaikora to end in Christchurch. Where there's another route called the Tranzalpine to Greymouth via Arthurs Pass.
